CFGS 6 Alumni Stories

Our Sixth Form alumni students discuss their experience at CFGS Sixth Form and how their time here has prepared them for the next stage of their journey. These students have completed A Levels, Level 3 BTEC, or a combination thereof, and are now either pursuing university studies or participating in an apprenticeship. This page will be regularly updated with diverse alumni sharing their stories.

Community Alumni

We're proud to showcase CFGS alumni members of our community who have attended the school and have gone on to make a significant impact in both our local community and beyond. These individuals have not only excelled academically during their time here but have also continued to contribute positively to society, embodying the values instilled in them during their time at CFGS.

I've primarily worked for newspaper companies, retiring in 2007. For the past 17 years, I've served as the honorary secretary of the Stairway to Heaven Memorial Trust, helping to raise funds and administer the charity.

I also run the Barkingside branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters Friendly Society and serve as a director of Retrofit Action For Tomorrow. Additionally, I saved a local village school from closure 34 years ago and am still involved as a governor.

I was honored with an MBE in 2019 for my charitable work, particularly in East London. I must admit, I'm a bit of a workaholic!
