E-Safety

The internet is a wonderful resource and enriches our lives in so many positive ways. At CFGS, we are committed to ensuring that our students access and use the internet safely, securely and responsibly; we aim to create and maintain an E-safe and secure digital environment for all students.

This page is designed to help parents understand the collective efforts made to promote safe, secure and responsible technology and internet use.

Here, you will find important guidelines for best practice for e-safety. Together, we can create a positive online experience and safeguard our students as they navigate the amazing digital world.

Keep SAFE Watching and Browsing Online

Ofcom says 90% of children watch online videos and browse the internet regularly. Children love to stream videos and look up information, it’s a fun way to learn and relax, but they must be guided. The internet can be filled with inappropriate content and dangerous material. It is important that parents and teachers steer students and youngsters towards the right places when online. Internet Matters published a guide to support adults in setting digital boundaries for children, so that they can make smart choices and build healthy online habits. In the Internet Matters guide you’ll find practical tips on managing content access, the use of safety controls, advice on setting boundaries and ways to educate children on how to stay secure online.
