Any professional that works with children and young people should be able to help you get support. You could talk to a teacher, school nurse, social worker or GP.
You can find more information about NHS children and young people’s mental health services (CYPMHS) on the NHS website.

The identified Mental Health Lead for the school is Ms Harrigan, who operates the ‘Safe Space’. Students are also supported through the safeguarding team. All staff have a vital role in supporting the mental well-being of children and to identify behaviour that may suggest a child is experiencing mental health problems.
The referral pathway for students with suspected developing mental health issues is the same as for those with safeguarding issues:
Tiers of interventions are:
- Teacher support in class – staff trained to support the specific issue;
- Use of Safe Space – self referral as and when needed
- ‘Flourish’ in-school provision – bespoke sessions to support students
- School counsellor
- THEWS referral and support
- CAMHS referral and support
