At CFGS, our Student Leadership programme is designed to empower students by developing key skills and qualities essential for their growth and success. The aim of our programme is to foster student leadership skills, build confidence, and encourage active participation in community projects. We focus on supporting the development of our central skills and helping students understand the unique contributions their identities bring to their leadership roles. Our holistic approach ensures that every student is equipped to make meaningful impacts both within the school and the wider community. Additionally, we offer a range of opportunities for students to get involved and further enhance their leadership experiences.
Strengthening Our School Community Through Leadership, Teamwork and Service: An introduction to the Student Council

Being the head of the student council is a job I take on with pride. As the proud President of the Student Council, I am honoured to represent the student body and to work alongside my elected, dedicated team of council members.
The Student Council plays an important role in ensuring your voices are heard. Our aim is to identify areas within the school community that have room for improvement, collaborating with teachers and governors to bring about significant change. This year we plan to: organise events and fundraisers to support charities, improve the school food quality and hosting fun events to make the school year enjoyable.
As your president, my responsibilities include guiding the main council meetings, supporting every member in their roles, ensuring that projects are planned and executed swiftly and that every voice is heard.
Leadership, to me, isn’t about the authority or power. It is about taking on responsibility, empathy, listening to your voices and holding the ability to uplift and inspire everyone around me.
We are also your voice, so please don’t hesitate to raise your queries, concerns and ideas with your form reps.
